Cybersecurity for Energy Resilience Summit (CyFERS) 2026

Overview

Mark your calendars for April 28 to 30 as the Cybersecurity for Energy Resilience Summit (CyFERS) returns for its second year!

CyFERS brings together state and territory officials for three days of interactive and engaging cybersecurity training. As cybersecurity threats increase, so does the role of the states to work with industry to secure the nation’s energy infrastructure. CyFERS will advance state/territory knowledge of cyber threats, risk assessments, and cyber incident preparedness. CyFERS is hosted by the Department of Energy’s Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response in collaboration with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

​Summit Goals

  • Equip state officials with cybersecurity knowledge and resources to advance energy security planning, cyber risk assessment, and protections against malicious attacks targeting critical energy infrastructure.
  • Foster collaboration for meaningful interaction among attendees to build partnerships across various sectors involved in energy cybersecurity.
  • Bolster the role state officials play in securing the reliable flow of energy in their states and regions against cyberattacks.
  • Evaluate how emerging energy trends impact cybersecurity resilience and risk exposure for states
